**Webinar 186: Live Broadcast Date: January 30, 2024, 1:00-3:00 pm EST**

Presenters: Josh Shilts, CPA, ASA, ABV/CFF/CGMA, CFE and Melissa Deighan MS, CFE

Continuing VPS’ series on lost profits, join Josh Shilts as he utilizes his own unique experiences and industry knowledge to provide attendees with two case studies involving new business calculations in litigation settings.

First, Josh will walk through discovery, research, and analyses on a lost profits case involving a plaintiff claim related to contract damages stemming from a marketed intellectual property promising to create a whole new industry in a foreign market. Second, he will discuss a situation wherein a “new” business lost profit case is analyzed not only from the point of view of lost profits but also loss of value. In this example, he will discuss a matter where a start-up fin-tech claims to have been abruptly damaged due to IP misappropriation.

Learn the “what-ifs” and “how-comes” professionals deal with in providing litigation support services.
