Archive Webinar Package 2018-117: Lost Profits Damages – Expert Report

**Webinar 117: Live Broadcast Date: February 27, 2018**

LOST PROFITS DAMAGES: An Effective Written Report May Decide the Case with Chris Rosenthal, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA, AEP and Zachary Reichenbach, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFA.

Commercial litigation frequently becomes a battle in which experts communicate and defend their analyses and opinions. The expert with the more convincing testimony– based on the conclusions in his or her written report–may be a deciding factor in the case. An effective expert written report augments the attorney’s legal arguments about whether the plaintiff suffered damages. It is an important basis for educating the trier of fact about the reasons for either accepting or rejecting the plaintiff’s lost profits claim.

Learning Objectives:

The webinar will:

  • Summarize the legal requirements related to the written report
  • Give an overview of the report writing process
  • Address and give examples of the report sections and topics

  • Show how to limit exposure
  • Provide techniques developed from testifying over 100 times over 30 years
