VPS StraightTalk Webinar Series: Dissecting the Reasonable Compensation Job Aid For IRS Valuation Professionals (in consideration of current developments in the courts)
Approaching the second anniversary of its release, the Reasonable Compensation Job Aid for IRS Valuation Professionals continues to influence determinations of reasonable compensation. As stated within the Job Aid, “Determination of reasonable compensation is, at base, a standard valuation problem.”
Practitioners in the business valuation profession who have not read and studied the Job Aid, or followed closely the seminal court decisions that address this issue both before and after the Job Aid’s release, will find a full explanation of the content of this important document and how the information set forth therein compares to the decisions of the courts.
- The participant will learn the technical requirements for successfully defending against an IRS reasonable compensation challenge.
- The participant will learn what is included in the Reasonable Compensation Job Aid for IRS Valuation Professionals and how to interpret that document in their valuation practice.
- The participant will learn the outcomes of various important cases and how those outcomes contrast with the directives of the Job Aid.
