Archive 2016-102: Navigating the Proposed Section 2704 Regulations - An Update

**Webinar 102 Live Broadcast Date: November 29, 2016**

Archive presentation of the VPS StraightTalk Webinar Series: Navigating the Proposed Section 2704 Regulations – An Update with Chris Treharne, ASA, MCBA, CVA

When the proposed section 2704 regulations were issued in August, the consensus was that the IRS intended to eliminate discounts for lack of control and lack of marketability in gift and estate tax valuations. However, there is a growing consensus that the Service does not intend to eliminate DLOCs and DLOMs. This presentation will bring attendees up to speed on the latest thinking.

  • The participant will learn the background and history of the proposed IRS section 2704 regulations
  • The participant will learn the scope of the proposed changes
  • The participant will better understand the current situation with the regulations following the close of the comment period
