Valuation Products and Services
Jim Hitchner has a passion for education. One look at his curriculum vitae shows how he has helped valuation analysts and litigation service providers through the courses he has designed, classes he has taught, and materials he has created. During his 30+ years in the business, Jim has published four books.
Two of those books, Financial Valuation Applications and Models and Financial Valuation Workbook, are the basis for national courses offered by both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
Jim’s books, along with his many appearances at national conferences and state societies, have prompted an ongoing steady stream of emails with compliments and questions from those who have read his books or attended his presentations. This apparent need for more and better resources led Jim to establish Valuation Products and Services (VPS), a company devoted to education and practical application of business valuation and litigation services tools and resources.
In 2007, VPS launched Financial Valuation and Litigation Expert, a bi-monthly journal with articles from a distinguished Panel of Experts in the profession.
Also in 2007, VPS offered the much-anticipated AICPA BV Standards Compliance Toolkit, a series of electronic checklists and sample reports that can be adapted for individual use.
The new year also kicked off a series of VPS Webinars, educational opportunities for interactive, online training for CPE credit within the comfort of one’s own office.
VPS is also launching a series of BV industry Toolkits and Guides, designed for practitioners in specific areas of business valuation. All of these guides will feature Jim Hitchner’s signature “style”— easy-to-understand, practical information presented in a format that is readily useable and directly applicable to one’s projects.
